Endosonography
Endosonography includes the endoscopy of the upper digestive tract (endoscopy of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum) combined with an ultrasound examination. Pathological changes to certain organs and their neighboring structures can be depicted painlessly. Furthermore, tiny tissue samples can also be acquired painlessly for fine-tissue examination. The examination is carried out with the patient fasting and after a pre-examination discussion with the doctor.
